Take a look at some of our recent projects below.
It’s not too often you are asked to inspect a church floor, to come up with a plan to change the feel of the building and to project manage the re-construction of part of the subfloor! I just wish I had the forethought to take images before and during, rather than just the results, because the change is vast and impressive, I hope you will agree.
The entire floor was covered in an air force blue Wilton carpet, heavy designs and very traditional pub lounge in effect! That having been removed and disposed, we exposed a rotten floor with rotten supports beneath, and were forced to delay while our appointed builder came in and removed the whole section to the side of the nave, and replaced the timbers, laid dpc and insulation and a new green chipboard floor. Once we levelled around it, a superb Oak effect waterproof laminate was laid, with matting in both entrances, carpet and nosings on the side stairs, and dazzling red carpet laid on the split level altar. As an extra touch the upstands on the two altar steps were also fitted with the laminate, making it a very striking feature. Interesting, challenging and in the end, very rewarding. I hope you like it!
